About Me

Kaci has always been a storyteller and student in search of a teacher. Though she has always told stories and writing, as a child she learned by imitation, and her true pursuit of writing as a career was not until after high school. She grew up reading Christian supernatural fiction, mysteries, and suspense, and in college was introduced to the world of sci-fi and fantasy.
According to familial sources, she would stand on the hearth and sing stories until she was old enough to actually write. At one point she wrote a Cinderella script for herself, sister, and cousins to act out, and her first attempt at a co-written project was in 5th grade with her best friend, about an island of sentient horses. She was known to write two or three rows to a line of notebook paper and write from edge to edge instead of using the margins, much to her best friend's chagrin (try reading that), and was also in the habit of deliberately stopping mid-sentence before handing a story off to be read. This too, she grew out of.
During her secondary education, she has had the pleasure of befriending fellow authors who both taught and encouraged her no matter what stage of the writing process she was in. She has written multiple books, two of which are co-written with Ted Dekker and published as Lunatic and Elyon, co-written two screenplays, and had the privilege of editing for several authors, both published and unpublished.
Kaci enjoys reading on a variety of topics and most fiction genres.
